Lexa Silva, MSW Intern
TF-CBT, Art Therapy, Polyvagal
I love and am passionate about helping others as they navigate life’s challenges. Drawing from both professional training and lived experience, I strive to create a compassionate, supportive space where clients of all ages feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward meaningful change and healing.
I practice from a trauma-informed perspective and integrate a variety of evidence-based and experiential approaches, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), art therapy, sand tray, and play therapy. I also specialize in working with medical trauma and supporting individuals managing chronic pain through somatic therapy techniques. Additionally, I have experience helping clients navigate grief, loss, and relational challenges, particularly children, young adults, and women.
Psychoeducation is an important part of my work. I care deeply about healing and training brains in WHY they do what they do. I believe that understanding how our brains and bodies respond to stress and trauma can be a powerful part of the healing process. I collaborate with clients to ensure they understand the purpose behind the therapeutic tools and strategies we use together. I aim to honor your story, build on your strengths, and walk alongside you in your healing journey.
