Family/Marital, Attachment & ART
My younger sister died by suicide in 2012. Four years later, another loved one died by suicide. After years of not knowing how to deal with the grief of these events—I finally came to therapy. Part of my learning (and unlearning) has been letting go of outside expectations and connecting to my deeper self. This inner work has brought peace, and the energy to show up for others in a meaningful way.
One of the tools that helped me through my trauma was Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Because of it's impact, I have been trained to use ART. I value a direct and collaborative relationship with my clients. I conceptualize treatment in a way that encourages you to trust yourself, while offering perspective to help you identify and change unwanted patterns. I see a lot of clients one-on-one, but as a marriage and family therapist, I love working with couples and families as well.
